Obituary of Judith Ann Schywek

Judith Ann Menard Schywek passed away in her home on September 18, 2023 following a lengthy illness.  

She leaves behind a loving husband of 58 years, Dieter ‘Leo’ Schywek; numerous cousins in Illinois; and a host of friends in Colorado Springs.  

Judith was born in Chicago to Henry and Josephine Permantier Menard on November 11, 1938. She and Dieter married on September 18, 1965 in Chicago where he was drafted two years later. She eventually joined him in Utah for two years before moving to Colorado Springs in 1969. Two years later, their house on Alexander Road became their forever home. Judy was an active member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where her funeral mass will be held.
