Leona Lupori

Obituary of Leona Lynn Lupori

Leona Lynn Lupori (Meehan) went to be with Jesus quietly on July 27th, 2023 at her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado after a brief illness. Her husband, Dominic Lupori, was with her. She was 46 years old.

Leona was born on November 5th, 1976 to the late LeRoy and Senaida Meehan in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She attended Coronado High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado before moving to Ketchikan, Alaska during her high school years. Leona moved back to her hometown of Colorado Springs, Colorado and went on to get her nursing license. Leona practiced many years as a nurse at several facilities and companies. She was a great source of information for her big family. She always had her nursing bag with her and would constantly check her families blood preasure, heart rate, sugar levels, etc to make sure everyone was doing good. Thank you for caring so much Leona!

When not working, Leona loved camping, she also loved to go to the farmers market, cook big meals for her family and you could count on there being a big meal for every holiday! Her husband, children, and grandkids always knew she was there for them, and she would do anything for them.

She loved to hang out with her twin sister, Rebecca. She also loved her fur babies, her English Bulldogs.

Whenever she could, Leona would head to Ketchikan, Alaska to spend time camping in the wilderness with her brother, Nathan and his family.

Leona had a true heart of gold. She was always the first to help with anyone's special occasion or events. She loved to help set up, cook and then serve. Always pitching in wherever needed!

Leona is survived by her husband of 26 years, Dominic Lupori. Dominic and Leona were married during the winter blizzard of 1997 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. When the entire city was shut down. In addition to her husband, Leona is survived by all her children: daughter, Lilah Meehan; sons, Antonio Medina, Angelo Lupori, Vincent Lupori; stepson, Nico (Ashley) Lupori; and grandsons, Cooper Hunter, Leo Lupori, and Nico Lupori.
