Obituary of Louis Sorabella

Louis SorabellaDecember 21, 1915 - April 21, 2010The Rev. Louis Sorabella, 94, passed from this earth and joined his Lord on April 21, 2010. He was born in Somerville, Massachusetts on December 21, 1915 to Giovanni and Elizabeth Sorabella. He was a veteran of World War II. Known as a friend to all he met, Louis lived a joyful life and left innumerable smiles in his ministry here. He always was willing to take on whatever church or mission that needed him most and never asked for a penny in return. He worked as a produce manager in various supermarkets to support his family and volunteered another 40 hours a week to the Lord. He opened and ran the Whosoever Will Mission in downtown Colorado Springs in the �60s and never let a soul go hungry or without shelter. Louis was honored by being chosen for Who's Who in Religion.He was preceded in death by his wife and the love of his life Pauline after 66 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Nick, Salvatore, Cosmo, John and sisters, Mary and Theresa. Also preceded in death by his son, Kenneth (Carmen). He is survived by sisters, Netta and Sylvia. Also survived by sons, Neal and Randy (Valerie); daughter, Candy Gilbert (Geoff); 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces and a host of dear friends. Donations can be made in Rev. Sorabella's name to Circle Drive Baptist Church.Visitation will be 2:00-4:00PM, Sunday, April 25, 2010 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 E.
