Candi Michelle HolzerFebruary 18, 1981 � July 28, 2010Candi Michelle Holzer was born in Gadsden, Alabama on February 18, 1981 and passed away July 28, 2010 at the Denver University Hospital surrounded by lots of family and friends.She graduated from Florence High School, Florence, Colorado in 1999 and attended CSU Pueblo where she graduated with a degree in Psychology in May 2010. Candi received many awards for her research in psychology and was the President of the Psychology Club. Candi was also a mentor to other cystic fibrosis patients.Candi enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by Clint Calnan (husband), her parents Janice Elaine and Jon Lawhead, brothers Eric and James, sister Christina Finney, grandmother Margaret Beck, great-grandmother Elizabeth Brown, uncles Jim Gilliland, Brian Beck and Ed Gilliland, aunts Sue Gilliland and Kim Emmons, nephews Aydan, Ezekial, Alexander, Deven, Kenny, Seth, Jacob, and niece Elizabeth.She was preceded in death by her grandfathers William Beck and Kenneth Gilliland, and uncle Gary Beck.Visitation will be 4:00PM to 8:00PM Friday, August 6, 2010 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 E. Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Funeral Service will be 2:00PM, Saturday, August 7, 2010 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 E. Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado.Candi was passionate about finding a cure for cystic fibrosis and the family requests memorial contributions to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
