Dad could make a joke about anything and was always making me laugh. He reminded me that my name in Spanish meant Beautiful. He loved his hot chilies and I would always try them mixed with something else and had to have milk of course, because they were very hot! I enjoyed his chicken soup, maneudo(sp)not so much, picked the hominey out and ate it. There was always lots of goodies for the grandchildren. I remember how much he depended on every word in a Birthday or Christmas card, so I picked them very carefully, making sure they said what I meant,not just pretty on the outside. Before he would say thank you he would read every word. He enriched my life immensely and will be missed. I will not grieve, but remember him as he was and all the memories that are going through my head at this time and for the rest of my life. I know he is in a better place without suffering.
