Obituary of Willie R. "Little Bill" Williams, Jr.
The eldest of 9 children, Willie was born on September 15, 1936 to Willie, Sr. and Jean Williams. He passed away in his sleep on October 22, 2010 at the age of 74.Bill was a Master muffler mechanic for 38 years. The business was sold 4 times with the understanding that Bill stayed on. Bill served for many years as the "pit steward" at Pikes Peak Speedway, International Speedway and Beacon Hill. He was known for the different hats he wore each weekend. Bill called bingo for St. Mary's High School for 8 years.Bill is survived by his wife, Nellie; children, Debbie (Sam), Becky, David and Brenda; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Danny, David and Johnny; and sister, June. He considered his family his life accomplishment.Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at The Springs Funeral Services.
