There are so many memories of my Aunt. Riding smashed together with David and my siblings to CSCS in her tiny Volvo. Or playing hide and seek and finding the best place to hide was in the depths of a massive closet filled with clothes and shoes that kept my Aunt oh so stylish. And the there was the time she looked after me when my parents went to Hawaii, turns out this was actually a big deal becasue my Mother never trusted anyone else except her. The one thing I will always cherish about her was her thoughtfulness. I have moved around a lot since leaving my parents home in 1989. So many times in fact that my Mom started writing my address in pencil in her phone book. But with very few exceptions, my sweet Aunt Ida would track me down and send me a birthday card. I am turning 40 this year and I will miss opening up my birthday card from the most loving and thoughtful Aunt anyone could ever ask for! This year I know she will be sending me happy birthday wishes from heaven.

I worked with Ida for many years at Current and have kept contact off and on with her going to the OCB brunches. She always was a very friendly and loving person. I will miss her beautiful smile. God Bless all her family and may God walk with you through this difficult transitional time. Love, Jackie Martin

My Memory with my Grandma was all of the times I went and helped out at the Korean War Veterans luncheon every month they needed my help. I enjoyed all the times she bought my stuff before and after as a gift of helping her out and I enjoyed being able to see her smile when I always saw her there. I really love and miss my wonderful Grandma.

Ida was a wonderful example to us all of graciousness ... always giving, never complaining, never a negative thing to say, making the best of every situation, fiercely loyal to her husband and family. I will miss her and all that she was ... but i am so glad for the assurance that she is with our Lord Jesus right now ... no more tears or pain. Praise God!
