Obituary of John E. Owens

John E. Owens passed away peacefully on November 18th, 2011. A recent Colorado Springs resident, he and his wife Gwendolyn are formerly of Lake Anna, Virginia. John is survived by Gwen; two children, Marianne Owens LaRivee and John (Skip) Owens; and four grandchildren.John was an Air Force pilot, flying over 10 aircraft during his career. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked as a contract manager in Washington D.C. for several years before moving to Lake Anna, Virginia, where he was active in the Lion's Club, Lake Anna Rescue, and Elk Creek Baptist Church. John will be dearly missed by his family and friends.Funeral arrangements are pending at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
