Obituary of Jim Dale Currie, Sr.

Jim was born in Lamesa, Texas to Mac & Emma Currie on November 9, 1949 and died in Colorado Springs, Colorado on December 3, 2011.He leaves behind his loving wife Linda (Farris) Currie, children, Sean (Malissa) Currie, Jimmy (Danielle) Currie, Jr., Lee Currie, Jamie (Darren) Wylie and Jill Currie; Brothers, Larry Briley & Benny Briley, Sisters, Betty Sue (Weldon) Smith & Vicki Nabors. Grandchildren, Christopher Currie, Makaila Currie, Justice Currie, Lexa Currie, Savannah Currie, Mitchell Currie, Michael Currie, Chelsey Burley, Bailey Burley, Caffery Bordelon, Cody Bordelon, Charlie Bordelon, Calley Jo Bordelon, Cricket Bordelon & Tryston Bellon, Great-grandchildren, Owen Currie, Leiloni Currie, Damien Currie, Carley Bordelon, Addison Bordelon, Mattalyn Bordelon and numerous cousins, friends, nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bobby Briley.Jim had an 18 year career with Halliburton during which most of those years he lived overseas. He also retired from American National Insurance after 18 years with them in the Pueblo market and won many Eagle Awards during his career there.Jim loved to fish, playing at the casinos, bowling & bingo, he loved being with his children and grandchildren and will be remembered for his great sense of humor.Visitation will be from 11AM-2PM Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 E.
