Hugh and I were so touched by the spirit that was so inclusive of Robert's memorial service. We were honored to be a part of it and will carry Robert's enthusiasm for life with us. My heart goes out to the family of Robert ....I was saddened to have learned about the sudden death of Robert. I lived just down the street on Oak street from the Auchterlonie family many years ago when Robert was maybe 12 or so. I am sorry that his children will grow up without their dad. I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn that one of my dearest friends in high school had past. Robert and I and another friend were joined at the hip while in school, and he was one of few that made me feel safe. As a matter a fact, he was one of the first ones that I shared the secret of being pregnant. He held me, and let me share all of my emotions as a young scared 18 year old girl. Even though Robert and I had lost touch over the years, I recently found him again on facebook and we were talking again. I am sorry to his family, his kids, and his fiance for their loss. He was a wonderful loving man, and will be truely missed by so many. Rest in Peace Robert.

I have fond memories of wee Cousin Robert running around his house in just his tighty-whities. Always full of mischief and mayhem - at the age of 4. I am so sorry for his loss - I would've loved to have met the man he became. Now Grandpa and Grandma Auchterlonie get to and I'm sure they're all having fun up there! :0) All my love and prayers to Uncle Gavin, Aunt Patty, Rene and Angela and all of his family, I wish I could be there to help memorialize and celebrate his life.

Oh my, he looks so much like his Dad, Gavin in that picture. I so would have liked to be there with all of you but my sadness would not have helped you all there, just know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this time. He will truly be missed by all of his family, just wish I could have known him as he was as a father and as a man. I only saw him several times as a child and then as a young adult(18 yrs), just before his Grandmother died in 1988.
