Obituary of Robert Joseph Gonnella

Robert was born in Manhattan, New York, September 2, 1934 and passed away at home after a long illness surrounded by his family on April 8, 2012.He spent the first 18 years of his life in the New York Foundling Home, an Orphanage in New York. At 18 he joined the U.S. Navy serving his country for 20 years.He met the love of his life, Judith, in 1957 while stationed at Weymouth Naval Air Station in Massachusetts. They married October 7, 1961.Survived by wife Judith and children; Jennifer and Peter and two grandsons; Bryan and Nicolas.He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.Memorial Contributions in Robert's memory may be made to Care & Share Food Bank.A Memorial Service will be held 2:00PM, Sunday, April 22, 2012 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 E.
