I have many fond memories of Ralph. We traveled across the state many times together and I always looked forward to making those trips with him. Working with him was a pleasure but calling him a friend was even better.

Ralph and I started to work at UT in 1973. We traveled many miles together teach Extension Agents and producers. We shared many of the same values and traditions. I always admired his appreciation of classical music. He made a tremendous contribution to the Extension educational programs in Tennessee. He suffered more losses of family than I could imagne. I have missed his companionship since he retired. I hope and pray that his family will focus on the very good memories of him. Sincerely, Emmit L. Rawls

Dr. Hall and I started at the UT Extension Service at the same time in 1973. I was an agricultural management agent in several counties in Tennessee and depended on Dr. Hall's expert knowledge in animal agriculture. He went with me on many farm visits to help solve problems related to animal health. He was a wonderful servant for UT. He was also a wonderful and dependable service veternarian for farmers in Tennessee.

It was a distinct pleasure to be associated with Dr. Hall as we worked together in a cooperative program between the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and the Hobart Ames Foundation. Dr. Hall was a great instructor and a sterling example for students enrolled in the College of Veterinary Medicine curriculum. We have lost a dear friend.
