Obituary of David John Collas

On the evening of Sunday, February 10th, David John Collas went home to be with the Lord. David was the beloved son of Stacy and Ted Collas of Colorado Springs. David was the older brother of Michael Collas, and the grandson of Bill and Linda Jo Hendren, Berniece Collas, and Kate Hendren. David had a large extended family and friends, too numerous to count.Everyone who knew David, knows the manner in which he faced life. David was determined to create his own path along life's journey. David was a gifted wrestler and coach, and he was his brother's biggest, and loudest fan. He loved working outdoors and learning all that he could about building and construction. David loved Colorado and spending time in the beauty of God's creation. David, like his namesake, was a man after God's own heart. David loved Jesus, and shared with his family just last week, how certain he was that he would spend his eternity in Heaven. His family and friends can find comfort in knowing that David is with the Father right now and is probably trying to help Jesus in the carpenter shop. We love you David, we will always miss you, and we want to thank you for gracing us with your wonderful, joyful presence for over 19 years. We WILL see you again, at Heaven's gate.
