. She was able to climb those ladders, and live content with the way she was. The ladders were many. Signifying she was active at life. No telling how many prayers went up for us all. For she pleaded for all of us. May we also claim our victories as we overcome life's battles. And remember my Mom, who lived silenced for 17 years. So hard to imagine. She was inward. Deep. All knowing of things only some of us could imagine. And she was content and happy, without ever getting to plead her case. Something that makes me admire her even more. Something to ponder. She spoke loudly in her silence. All we had to do was look. I love you Momma. You are my blessed Mother. Receive your crowns. For you are well deserving!

In the debth of her circumstances, she was able to climb to the top and CLAIM HER VICTORIES! Some were hard, heart wrenching. Some painful and lonely. Some were easier but just the same. When she climbed through the dimmer areas she had to feel her way. But other times it was lit by the rays coming through to give her hope. And give her courage to take the next step. It was work, it was painful. But she didn't quit or give up. Some of the trip was joyful, for her eyes were set above. She knew the end result would be good. With each climb she got stronger and more equipped for the next. Revelations of Victory.

She was as deep as that canyon. Each ladder was her climb to victory. She overcame many obsticals. Many trials. Many tribulations. She escaped adversities. But with each climb, she was all about "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me". As she climbed over the top and stood up, I can hear her VICToRY CRY! It is well, it is well with my soul! She gave God the glory. Not of her own accord. Her famous phrase was MIGHTY WELL. Which were all but 3 phrases she used. She was limited in her speech and mobility, due to 2 strokes. But not by way of Jesus, As she turned inward, she dwelt with Him. Talked with Him. In a personal way.

The Lord gave me a vision. I saw a canyon. So deep you couldn't see the bottom. The top was so wide it would be impossible to cross. On top were rays of sunlight with prisms of color. And inside we're shadows of various colored rock. The most beautiful picture of all of Gods designs of depth and color. There were many ladders, stretching from the bottom to the top. Fixed and non-movable. I suddenly realized it signified my mother and her journey in life. She was deep.

I had gotten to know Carmalita over the past 2 years, as she enjoyed playing Blackjack each Sunday night at Shalom. It was good to hear her say, "Okeydokey" when she had a good hand, and did not need an additional card. She was quite a player. My heart goes out to her family and her loved ones. Ken

When I was a little girl, I loved my Aunt Carma with all my heart and could hardly wait until her next visit. We lived in Tucumcari, NM until I was in the 8th grade and then moved to Anthony, KS. I was so happy to be near her and see what a wonderful mother she was. As I grew to adulthood she was still my best friend. I will always love and respect her and as much as she will be missed on earth, I know how happy she is to be with our Lord and all our family that live in heaven. I'll see you later, sweet Aunt Carma!

My grandma carma was the most inspirational woman in my life. She helped me become the person I am today. She taught me to see the positive in everything. She taught me how to have a loving and forgiving heart. She taught me how to crochet and learn riddles and rhymes . She was always smiling, singing, and laughing. I love you so much grandma and I look forward to that day that I can sing your silly songs with you again. You are finally home with the lord! Angie
