Obituary of James Richard Harmon

James Richard Harmon, 70, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on July 19, 2013.Jim was born in Vona, Colorado on July 20, 1942. Jim married Sherry Thorsonon August 25, 1963; they were married 49 years.Jim worked as a carpenter for 45 years. Jim and Sherry moved to Colorado Springs in 2007, to be near their daughter and family.Jim is survived by his wife Sherry; daughter, Michele; son- in- law Chris; granddaughter, Kerri Jo DeVoll; sister, Patricia and husband Fred Weihmuller, Beverly Miller, and Barbara and husband Dean Fredrickson. Sisters- in-law Zelia Serian, Arlene and husband Andy Anderson, Karen and husband Lynn Johnson, and brother- in- law Carl and wife Barbara Thorson; nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Jim is preceded in death by his son Kent, mother Alma Belle, father Archie Harmon, father in-law Olaf and mother in-law Norma Thorson.A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 338 7th Street, Burlington, CO 80807. Bill Viergutz, of Trinity Lutheran Church will be officiating.
