Obituary of Gabriel Alexander Lawrence
Late Sunday afternoon, October 6th, Gabriel Lawrence departed suddenly from this world. He was the beloved son of his father, Lieutenant Colonel David Lawrence and step-son of his wife Julie. He is also the beloved nephew of his aunt Michele Lawrence and likewise of his aunt and uncle Sheri and Rusty Boicourt. He was the loving confidant and friend of his sister Daschia, younger brother Cole, and older brother Leighton, and the precious grandson of maternal grandparents Linda and Bill Benger of Nampa, Idaho. He is remembered as a young man who loved outdoor sports be it snowboarding or mountain biking with his Dad, or wrestling and cross country running with his high school teammates. He loved long boarding with friends and when he occasionally visited his paternal grandparents, Kathy and Bob Lawrence in Charleston, South Carolina, he became proficient at paddle boarding. Conscientious and hard working in the classroom, he was similarly committed to his after school job at a local fitness center. He is remembered by friends as being fun loving, unpredictable and impulsive while at the same time consistent, loyal and dependable. As family and those dear to him grieve his loss, we are reminded of these words from the 139th Psalm:"For it was you who created my inward parts. You knit me together in my mother's womb…your eyes see me when I was formless, all my days were written in your book and planned before a single one of them began."
