One of the most happiest times of my childhood was summers spent wth my Aunt Vonna & Uncle Jack, Doug, Debbi and Lori. When I close my eyes I can still remember the laughter, the singing at Aunt Vonna's piano (voice like an angle), the home cooked meals at the big dinning room table covered with Nana's white table cloth, the checker vanilla and orange sherbet ice cream, Lori and I riding bikes everywhere, listening to Carol King albums (big vinyl disk...showing my age) with Debbi and so wanted to be her, going for a ride in Doug's convertible who I thought was just the coolest guy ever, Aunt Vonna taking us to the pool, shopping at Brookfield (think that was the name of the mall but age may be playing tricks) and spending the day at Brookfield Zoo! She made the best tuna fish sandwiches which still today I can't match! I remember Uncle Jack coming home and in his big loving voice say "let's go get some custard" and downtown we went. I will always treasure these memories and the beautiful love I felt in your home. We are truly blessed and I love you all!
