I worked with Shannon at Wal-mart in Sheridan, WY. He was definitely a kind man and a good friend. I lost touch with him after the family moved on with the company. I pray for God's peace as the family grieves his passing.

The only comforting thing I can say to his family, is Shannon is with his father. We grieve for him but rejoice b/c he has gone to his real home and we will one day join him. I wish I had know sooner or I would have gone to his service. Dawn, Kelsi even though we lost touch after church you are in my heart. We had some awesome fellowship times;) Lisa Smith

Shannon was the most compassionate and caring man I have ever had the pleasure to work for. He found me help when my son came down with leukemia, and he never judged me for being myself. I wish all Wal-mart Managers were like him. Loved you Shannon. God Bless you Dawn and Kelsea.

I've had the pleasure of knowing Shannon for the last 5 years or so. He was a remarkable individual. Always a delight to speak to, he was truly dedicated to his wife and daughter. A real family man, a truly good man. The world is a smaller place without him.

Shannon was the embodiment of humble servant leadership. A man of extraordinary humility, wisdom, and compassion. I would put money on the fact that he is Mr. Sam's right-hand man in heaven. Shannon will be deeply missed my hundreds who knew and admired his quiet strength and exemplary leadership.

My wife worked as Shannon's assistant manager and always had high praise for him as a person. I met Shannon a couple of times, and found him to be kind and sincere. It comes as no surprise that he loved his Lord, it was evident in his life. He will be missed!

I did not know Shannon. We passed by the site of his death, as did other friends of mine. We were all struck with a deep compassion for him, his family and friends, and what his life meant. Ever since, I have thought of him and, now that I read this obituary, I see why. For whatever comfort it might give, please realize that a good life even affects strangers, even after death. Prayers to all of you. Kathy

I had the privilege and blessing to work for Shannon for 16 of my 24 years at Wal Mart, before retiring in October 2012. He was truly one of the kindest and gentlest souls I've ever known. His passing is a shock and much to soon. I share the tears and sadness with his family, friends and co-workers. You are much loved , Shannon , and will be greatly missed.

My prayers and love go out to your family. I had the privilege to work with Shannon his first 5 years in Colorado Springs with Walmart. His love for the Lord could always be seen shining through. He had a unique laugh that would make me smile. He will be dearly missed. He was an inspiration to his family, friends, Walmart, and myself. Your family was blessed to have him in your lives. May Jesus bless your family during this time. With much love, Chris

In the rollercoaster ride that is Walmart, the one thing I could rely on was Shannons kindness, just a all around good guy. He was just a delight to work for. Know that I am thinking of all of you and my heart is aching too. Love from New York, Tina

Shannon was my childhood friend. We lived up the road and our families were togther all the time. I think of him as a brother. It's unimaginable to me that he is gone. We were kids goofing around just the other day it seems. I hadn't seen him in years but when I read what all he has done, I am so proud of him. I know God has him safely in his arms and he is waiting for us to all be together again. I will be praying for all those he has touched and I am sure there are many.
