Obituary of Maggie Saldana

December 22, 1955 – November 20, 2014Maggie Saldana, age 58, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1983 and formerly of Austin, Texas, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014 after a short battle with stomach cancer. She was an IT Quality Analyst Senior for Progressive Insurance Company where she had worked for over 34 years. Gloria Magdalena Torres was born on December 22, 1955 in Austin, Texas to Epimenio and the late Georgia (Contreras) Torres. She attended schools in Austin and was a 1974 graduate of Johnston High School.She married Joel Saldana on February 9, 1974 in Austin. She is survived by her loving husband, Joel; her father, Epimenio Torres of Pflugerville, Texas; and her three children, Angela (Michael) Prock of Colorado Springs, Joel A. (Maria) Saldana of San Antonio, Texas and Nicole Saldana (Steven Davis) of Colorado Springs. She also has six grandchildren, Mia, Bella, Aiden, Anderson, Addyson and Layla. Maggie is also survived by her three brothers, Louis Torres of San Antonio, Frank (Dolores) Torres of Del Valle, Texas and Manuel (Penny) Torres of Manor, Texas; one sister, Frances Torres of Pflugerville; and Joel's brothers, Frank (Helen) Saldana of Austin, Texas and John A.
