Obituary of Debbie Denise Madoni-Lewis

Debbie Denise Madoni was born April 21, 1965, in Chicago, Illinois, to Ed and Johnna Madoni. Debbie grew up in the Chicago area and NW Arkansas. She graduated from Bergman High School, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from Union University. She also earned a Master of Science from Notre Dame in 2000. She married Brian Lewis on Sept. 30, 1995, and they established homes in Tulsa, Salt Lake City, and recently in Colorado Springs. Debbie worked for Williams, Corp. in Tulsa and Salt Lake City, and started her own Marketing Company in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were blessed with two children: Blake, born June 27, 2002, and Hope, born June 22, 2004.Debbie loved life, people, family, and adventure. She was known for her compassion and desire to make the world a better place by seeking dignity and justice for all people. Debbie was a member of Christ UMC in Salt Lake City. She served on numerous mission teams around the world. She was a gifted musician and singer. Debbie loved vacationing with her family, and helping those in need around the world. Debbie's adventures and passionate care took her to Venezuela, Spain, Korea, Africa, Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, all countries in Europe, and all 50 states in the USA. She touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Debbie went to heaven on Wednesday, November 26, 2014.Debbie is survived by her husband, Brian Lewis; son, Blake; and daughter, Hope, of the home in Colorado Springs; parents, Ed and Johnna Madoni of Carthage, Missouri; parents-in-law, Rod and Carolyn Lewis of Mountain View, California and Steve and Wanda Littrell of Konawa, Oklahoma; grandmother, Betty Lewis of Lawton, Oklahoma; grandparents, Royce and Suzie Littrell of Cache, Oklahoma; grandfather, Jim Wingate of Pensacola, Florida; sisters, Roxann Watkins and husband Larry of Monett, Missouri and Celeste Madoni-Smith of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Brian Gilliland and children Luke and Kelsey of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.Service of Death and Resurrection and Celebration of Debbie's Life will be at 11:00AM, December 5, 2014 at Will Rogers United Methodist Church, 1138 S.
