Very sad to hear the news, my sincere prayers to the entire family. I had the pleasure to meet Debbie while at Union University. She had an incredible music talent, striking good looks (both of which enabled her to participate in the Ms. Tennessee Pageant) yet being very humble. I will always remember all the fun memories we shared together before she accepted the call to become missionary in Venezuela. Mission seemed to be a passion for Debbie and she always followed her dreams. Miss You.

I have so many memories shared with my beautiful, funny, talented friend. Sleepovers, going to Dogpatch, going to the lake, music (of course), talking on the phone, sharing secrets, laughing and being silly, and lots of daydreaming! We lost touch after school but I have thought of Debbie so many times. So sad but I'm so proud to hear that she followed her dreams and made a difference in this world. Love and prayers! (LC)-Jenn

I am so blessed to know Madoni. She has always been an inspiration to me. She is one of the most genuinely loving souls I have met. She always had a way of being fully present with people, making them feel special and valued. She simply glowed when speaking about her children, who she loves dearly. I will always remember her warm and bright smile, and her sweet and open heart. My love goes with you Madoni, on your new journey. You will be as graceful there as you were on this earth. And my love goes to your beautiful children and loving husband. Peace be with you, and may you always feel her love.

Debbie is the reason I have the life I do. She set me and my future husband up on a blind date. We have been married for 30 years. Debbie was so talented and beautiful inside and out. While we lost touch over the years, I have never stopped thinking of her as a friend. Our hearts go out to Brian, Blake and Hope. May God be with you and help you through this time of sorrow.

I went to school with Debbie at Bergman High School and graduated with her in 1983. I remember a special time when we had a sleepover at Debbie's house. Dinner involved solving riddles in order to gain a fork, spoon, food and even a drink. Needless to say I ended up with a celery stick and a spoon. Someone else had spaghetti but no fork. It was a fun time had by all. Debbie was such a sweet person with a beautiful talent for singing and piano. The Class of '83 will never be the same. I pray for peace and comfort for the family. We have a Great and Mighty God.
