I didn't realize Nan had died as we both moved from Evansville. We were roommates at Harlaxton and nursing students together at Holbeach Hospital. It was quite the experience and we had many late night conversations. I am sorry we lost contact. She was a great nurse and a I counted her a friend.

Nan was a graduate of the 2009 Colorado Bar Association Leadership Training Program (COBALT). She won the hearts of her classmates by her kindness, intelligence and sense of humor. We will miss Nan. This is a loss for all of us.

Nan was a deeply private person who held her close friends near to her heart and never forgot when she was wronged. In this way she was one of the most genuine people I have ever known. I've felt fiercely protective of Nan in the 8 years since we met. She was a true gem of a person and I'm lucky to have been one of the few who had the benefit of enjoying her advice, sense of humor, and her love for culture from foods to performance art to Barry White. Her passing has flooded my mind with too many personal memories to index on a message board. I think of her daily as always.

Nan was a wonderful person, kind to animals, passionate about life, fun, a good dancer, entertaining, smart, provocative and spirited. I will miss you. I thank you for all the wonderful moments you shared with me. Moments with Melanie and me on our trips to Utah. Moments with each other. The world will not be the same without your spirit here on earth. Please save a space for me in heaven. I miss you and will cherish our loving relationship for eternity.
