Obituary of Curtis Brent Williams

Curtis Brent Williams was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on January 11, 1963 to Emory Curtis Williams and Nannie Florence (Allen) Williams. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Udell, a son, Jeremy Berg, two brothers Brian and David Williams, a sister, Suzanne (Williams) Mooney, and nieces Rachel (Dockery) Battles and Sela Solomon.Brent Williams was a man who could do just about anything he wished to do. From rebuilding the engine in his car to making silver into jewelry, cutting, polishing, and setting the stones he had collected from around the state. He could make anything out of wood, and he built and flew model rockets. If it needed fixed or built, he could build it or fix it. He also designed and built sundials. He was extremely knowledgeable about astronomy, as well. Words like brilliant are easily tossed around, but in this case it's the only word that fits the man. An Electronics Engineer by trade, some of his hobbies were related, such as building Tesla coils and fiddling with lasers. Probably his greatest hobby involved his love of music. He had a very large collection of records and CDs, and could probably tell you as much about a song as anyone, with the possible exception of the person who wrote it. Deep Purple, King Crimson, The Moody Blues, Warren Zevon, Emerson, Lake, and Palmer, Yes, were only a few of the groups he favored. Brent did a good job as a guitar player as well, but, as he often said, he didn't practice enough. When your life is as full as Brent's was, something has to take the back seat.He could be snide, snarky, stubborn, and some might even say arrogant, but at those times you could see the corners of his mouth twitching, about half a second from an all-out smile or laugh. If you needed help with something, Brent was there. He was always willing to lend a hand, and often came up with a better way to do whatever the task required. Brent was loved and respected by all who knew him, and he will be sorely missed.Funeral Home:The Springs Funeral Services3115 East Platte AvenueColorado Springs, , COUS 80909
