Obituary of Lloyd Leroy Lawrence

Lloyd Leroy Lawrence, age 70, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs died on May 24, 2016 in Security, Colorado. He was a retired Cottage Cheese Cook, a Vietnam Veteran, a wonderful husband and father, a grandfather, brother and friend to many.Lloyd was born on November 12, 1945 in Visalia, California to the late Melvin and Mary (Burden) Lawrence. He was a graduate of the College of the Sequoia and had earned his Associates Degree and was a member of Sequoias Cross Country track team that won many state and national awards. He also was an inspirational painter. He was a beloved Elder, Usher and member of The Master's House of Colorado Springs, Colorado.His plant was nationally recognized for his cottage cheese and President Ronald Reagan made special requests from Lloyd for his cottage cheese at the White House.Lloyd is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kathy, his daughter; Mary (Barry) Leak, Jr. of Colorado Springs, his sisters; Donna Hall, Marlene (Jim) Collins and Carol (Rick) Lankard all of Visalia, California. He is also survived by his honorary brothers; David Dillard, Sr., David Dillard, Jr. and Adam Galyon, and numerous nieces and nephews.
