John was like a brother to me. Even though we lived in different states when we saw each other we always just laughed and talked about the fun vacations we had together. I will miss John. I love you John.

What a wonderful man and heavens have called him home. Never met anybody who just helps someone because they needed help, just walked into my life and said hi my name John and this Debbie. Will never forget his kindness. I will miss him.

His freindship is like the songs he loved to share. Always an encouragement, a touchstone of rememberance, an opportunity to share. May his special gifts be shared by all who know him as a blessing to his dear wife Debbie and family..

Thank you Debbie, for bringing John into our family so many years ago. John was always the one to put a smile on my face and make me laugh. I shared happy and sad times with John. The Heflin Family and your Family have been thru a lot. The single most thing I remember is the way he could tell a story and make us all laugh. John - you were sincere when you spoke and I know you loved "your Archer Girls." May God Bless You and hold you in his arms. Love, Dawn

My heart weighs heavily for the family you have left behind though I feel joy in thought that you are reunited with your passed loved ones. You were a strong man and have taught your family how to be the same. I have no doubt that you will always be with them, watching over them. I pray you rest peacefully and that your family are able to find peace as well. I would like to thank you for showing my aunt the kind of love and marriage that many could look up to. You will be sorely missed. With love, Jennifer Specht

We lost a dear man last Friday. In an instant the world was emptier in so many ways. He helped me get through the loss of my dad. He became that fatherly voice that I never thought I'd have. He taught me what to expect for myself when it came to the standards of boys and friends in my life. He showed me what to expect from a husband by the way he was so good to his wife. He was always willing to forgive your wrong. He expected you to learn from your mistakes and move on. He was my uncle, angel, and friend. I love you uncle John be at peace. Amen. Love you always, Vanessa "Nessie"

John, my beloved brother-in-law, more brother to me than in-law, you guided me through tough times, encouraged me and made me a stronger person. I will carry you in my heart forever. No one could match your wonderful sense of humor, you always made me laugh! I know in my heart that one day we will all be together again and you will make us laugh once more. I will always think of you when I hear Mr. Bojangles,. I loved it when you sang it while playing your guitar. So many times when we were stationed in New Mexico together I asked you to sing it and you happily strummed your guitar and sang. You will always be our Mr. Bojangles. I love you and through tears of love, I bid you farewell until we all meet again. You made our lives brighter, thank you for the honor of being a part of yours. God bless you, John. May God bless Debbie and family. Our love and prayers are with you.
