Obituary of Wilfred "Scotty" Smith

Wilfred "Scotty" Smith passed away on March 27, 2018 less than two months after he lost Chic, his beloved wife of seventy-three years. Scotty was born on April 9, 1925 in Kearny, New Jersey. He was an innovative entrepreneur, a loving husband, and a caring, generous father.Scotty and Chic moved to Colorado Springs in 1970 to fulfill their dream of opening a piano lounge, The Scotland Yard, on Colorado Avenue. Long before Karaoke was popular, Scotty was on the keyboard playing favorite songs and leading sing-alongs. He was often an impromptu guest at the Broadmoor Hotel and the Golden Bee.
