We are so very sorry to hear of the passing of your parents. Scotty had emailed to let us know of Chic's passing. We sent a card and it was returned 3 1/2 weeks later due to an error in the zip. I didn't get it back in the mail and I am sorry Scotty didn't know of our grief with him in the loss of Chic. There were no other pair quite like them! We had many entertaining hours with them in our beautiful Maui home. We really enjoyed hearing the story of their lives from Scotty with many a correction from Chic! And who could turn down those wonderful ice cream sundaes. He entertained us also by playing on his keyboard and telling his jokes. May God bring many wonderful memories to mind as a comfort to you as well as surround you with family, friends and His strength.

Our condolences to the family on the passing of Scotty. He and Chic were part of our "Midwest Maui" group whenever we would have a summer gathering away from our beloved Island of Maui. On Island, they are well remembered for hosting ice cream socials complete with music, singing, stories and jokes. Chic would always smile when Scotty told a joke, as if she had just heard it for the first time. Our lives are richer having shared friendship with Scotty and Chic. I would like to express my deepest and heartfelt condolences to the family of Wilfred Smith. I am truly sorry for the lost that your family is feeling. When ever we lose such a caring and loving person, it is the hardest thing that any of us can go thru. And because of that my thoughts and prayers are with your family. Take comfort in knowing that God never intent for us to deal with sickness or death. But have assurance in this wonderful promise that God holds out to each of us. He promise each of us that very soon he is going to reunite us back with all those loved ones that you have lost. (John 5:28,29) Until that time, cherish all the wonderful memories that you have of Mr. Wilfred. These precious memories will console the family in the day's ahead.
