Obituary of Angelina Lucille Montoya
Angelina Montoya, of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Albuquerque, New Mexico, died on June 11, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Angelina was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Lalo and Gabriella Baca on October 1, 1942. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1950. Angelina later worked as a cashier at Walgreens for twenty-five years. Her work at Walgreens enabled her to formulate meaningful relationships with all types of people. She loved the Lord and showed her love of Christ through her kind acts, generosity, and cooking for those she loved. She had an infectious spirit that lifted the hearts of so many. Angelina enjoyed crafts and creating innovative Christmas decorations. She particularly enjoyed making and sharing her Christmas trees and wreaths. She would sell many of her crafts and delicious foods to raise money for the Children's Hospital of Colorado, an organization she was very passionate about because of the role they played in her grandson AJ's life. She enjoyed going to the casino with friends and family, and was an avid Colorado Rockies fan. She was a symbol of joy for everyone and cherished her time with her family and her grandchildren. Angelina was a woman of great faith; and she drew upon her faith to help her with life's daily struggles. Her children meant everything to her. She worked tirelessly to ensure her children were always provided for. It was because of her sacrifice and astonishing work ethic that both her children were able to pursue advanced degrees and have successful professional careers. Beyond caring for her own children, Angelina played a vital maternal role in countless people's lives and her generosity was felt by many.
