Obituary of MSG Carl G. Reist, U.S. Army,
It is with great sadness that the family of Carl Reist announces his passing on July 9, 2018.Carl served in the United States Army and retired as a Master Sergeant after thirty years. He also worked and retired from the United States Post Office.He is survived by his loving wife Lorraine, his spouse for twenty-five years. Carl was the proud father of four children, Martina (Doug) Betts, Tom Reist, Ramona (Rick) Haxton, and John Reist.There are ten grandchildren he loved, Sasha Hofmann, Alexander Betts, Jennifer Ryser, Danny Larson, John Thomas Larson, Johnny Reist, Christopher Reist, Deanna Latta, Andrew Schips, and Sydney Schips. Carl lived long enough to enjoy eight great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Nathan, Eva, Matilda, Elizabeth, Sloan, Jayden, and Brantley. He will be missed by Aaron and Tandi Schips.His Credo:I believe in God and his infinite mercy.He has blessed me richly with an abundant life and a wonderful family.An Inurnment will be held at a later date with a full military honors at Pikes Peak National Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make donations in Carl's memory to Abode Hospice who were so good to him and his family at the closing of his life.
