Obituary of Gary Lee Boyer

Gary Lee Boyer, 65, entered eternal life after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease, on July 16, 2018 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.He was born to William Jerome and Lillian Louise Boyer on December 5, 1952 in Newark, New Jersey. He was raised in Iselin, New Jersey.Gary was in the semi-conductor industry.He was an avid sports follower, and a diehard Yankees, Giants, and Denver Broncos fan.In his past-times, he enjoyed mountain biking up gold camp road through the old train tunnels, tracking rail road tracks, riding his motorcycle, scuba-diving, and most importantly, collecting over the years to build an elaborate large-scale train layout, like his late grandfather, Miles.Gary always put his family first, he was a church-going man of great faith, but he was also a typical jokester who had an amazing ability to make everyone around him smile and laugh.He is preceded in death by his parents; and his grandson, Jeremiah Izquierdo, who was killed in action in Afghanistan.Gary is survived by his wife, "Jeannie" Genevieve Boyer; son, Bernardo Diaz; daughter, Raquel Diaz; grandsons, Josiah Diaz and Jovon Diaz: granddaughters, Alicea Diaz and Jaell Diaz; and brother, Wayne Boyer and his wife, Debbie Boyer.He will be missed dearly by everyone whose life he touched.Memorial Service, 11:00AM, Saturday, August 4, 2018, New Life Church - World Prayer Center, 11025 Voyager Parkway, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80921.
