Obituary of Darlene Naughton

Darlene went to be with God, her Almighty Father on February 24, 2019. She is survived by the love of her life, Richard; three daughters, Lisa (George, Jr.) Powell, Lynn Hager and Kristine Joyce (George Sedlack); brother, Andrew Ballweg; seven grandchildren, Riley, McKenzie, Austin, Colton, Dakota, Brooke and Stephanie; and six great-grandchildren, Khaden and Carter, Quinn, Charlie, Greyson and Ashlynn.Born in a farmhouse in Marxville, Wisconsin to parents John and Nora Ballweg, Darlene was the youngest of eleven children. She is preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; and four sisters. Darlene attended school in Roxbury and Sauk City, Wisconsin and was later employed at Wisconsin State Motor Vehicles Department. She married Richard on August 6, 1959 and spent the best of sixty years raising a family together. She held many jobs in states and countries due to Richards assignments in the United States Air Force where they later retired in Colorado Springs. There she worked for USAA Insurance company and retired after thirteen years of service. After retirement from USAA, Darlene was greatly involved with Divine Redeemer church ministries; Eucharistic Ministry, Food Pantry, Commodities, Funeral Receptions and served as a Sunday greeter. Darlene loved the theater, her houseplants, family gatherings, holidays and of course dispensing motherly advice from time to time. She adored her conversations with her grandchildren and keeping in touch with her nieces and nephews over the years.
