Obituary of George Edward Tribelhorn, Jr.

George Edward Tribelhorn, Jr., age 83, passed away on December 2, 2019 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He retired after teaching Elementary Education in Colorado Springs School District 11 for over forty years. He loved fishing, teaching kids, trips to Cripple Creek and spending time with friends.George was born on March 22, 1936 in Colorado Springs to George and Martha (Slager) Tribelhorn. He graduated from Palmer High School in 1954 where he was a talented wrestler and scholar. George served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps for three years.He then attended Colorado State University where he received his BA in Education. He later earned his Masters degree from Colorado College. George is survived by his sister, Patricia of Colorado Springs; daughter, Kristina Kittelson of Grand Junction, Colorado; and his son, Shawn Tribelhorn of Colorado Springs. He is also survived by his best friend, Deacon Ernest "Ernie" Romero of Colorado Springs.
