I've known Larry for 35+ years. He constantly praised his sweetheart, never saying about word about her, only praises for being his wife and a great mother. He taught his boys how to work hard, spoke often about is concern and well being for his daughters and sons. He loved to study people, laugh often, and wear his physical struggles with dignity. Generous and kind to others. Loved serving in our church and demonstrated His love of our Savior by his dedicated service. I will miss him.

I remember buying a garage door opener to surprise my husband for his birthday. Larry came over after work and on a Saturday to install it for me. For free! It wasn't an easy job and he was so kind to do this, especially after he had worked all day. We will never forget his kindness and humor.

When my husband was working in CA, Larry was the bishop in our church. I had 3 young children and struggled with the 2 younger ones. Larry would stop by our home in the evenings and get down on the floor and play with our little boys! He would always make sure I was doing ok and would check on our daughter as well. Before leaving, he would offer a prayer for the spirit to watch over us. We will miss this great man! We especially loved his sense of humor! We were always guaranteed a laugh in the presence of Larry!

I moved to Colorado Springs several years ago and knew no one until I met Larry. His kindness and humor made me feel at home. We spent hours together discussing our faith in Jesus Christ and exchanging stories and life experiences. When my hot water heater went out, he saw to it that a new one was installed . His friendship was important to me and I treasure the time we spent together , the food we shared, the friends he helped me to meet and his amazing family of which he was so proud and his resilience and hope even when he was in pain. I couldn't ask for a better friend than Larry. Larry Fish blessed people's lives, succeeded in business and the world is a better place because of him. I am a better man because I know him.

When I first moved to Colorado Springs 14 years ago, I was pregnant with our 3rd child and attending church alone with my kids because my now ex-husband was struggling with church and refused to come with us. I remember crying in Bishop Fish's office about this struggle. He got up from his chair and said "sounds like he needs a bit of a kick in the pants", he left church, drove to my house that very moment and sat and counseled my husband for the next 2 hours. On a Sunday. When he had multiple other responsibilities that day. My husband ended up coming back to church for years after that conversation. Larry didn't save our marriage, but I will never forget his dedication to my family, the gospel and his resolve, humor and no nonsense approach. He'll be truly missed.

I first met Larry through work in 1995. Over the years I always look forward to him filling my doorway, always with a smile, and always with nice things to say. He became a friend more than just a guy from work. One winter, in the middle of a blizzard, he came out in the weather to fix my heater. I had 3 young kids at the time, and the house was freezing. He truly walked the path to one who was truly enlightened. You will be so missed my dear friend.

Larry was our first bishop in Colorado Spring 15th ward. He always had a smile and was ready to give a warm handshake and a laugh. I am thankful for him and his good influence in our life and the lives of those around him. He will be missed.
