I had a lot of moments with Jacob as a substitute at DR. The funniest though was when I walked into the english class to help the teacher with thier very 'spirited' class. As I walked in, the teacher was trying to get order in the classroom while Jacob was crawling around the classroom floor entertaining his classmates! The laughter was LOUD! I used my best Mom voice, he got up, the class continued. I went in the hall, laughed silently and let Lisa know. Such a perfect example of the exuberance he brought to life in my opinion...and a memory that always makes me chuckle. I hope it will make you smile too. So sorry for your loss.

Calhoun family, I love Jacob. He was so much more than a friend. Anyone to cross his path, his goal will be to make you laugh. His wit and humor is something I will try to always carry on because it made every single day amazing and he was such a joy to be around. A best friend and genuine person that I hope everyone had the chance to know. Worked harder than anyone I know at Spencer Ogden and I had such a privilege working with him in the office, but we were always just tight bro's. I love you brother. Best wishes to everyone,

Calhoun Family: We were deeply shocked and saddened to hear of Jacob's death. Our hearts break for you. We are so deeply sorry for your loss. Jacob was such a wonderful young man, and we know he will be missed. He was such a talented athlete and he was a generous mentor to our son, Kevin. Jacob taught Kevin how to be a soccer goalkeeper and encouraged him every step of the way. He also gave Kevin his nickname, "Special K." We will remember him always as a fine, generous young man.
