I was shocked and saddened to see that Sue had gone home so soon! She and I were VT partners, and I grew to love everything about her! What a huge gap she left in the family. Miss you, sweet Sue, and we'll see you soon!

What an incredible lady! She was a nurturing and consistent nursery teacher for two of my kids. How they loved her. How I loved, how she loved them. She is a treasure.

I met Sue when I was a senior in high school after first meeting her sister Cindy in high school. I think Cindy carried Sue into the room so I could meet her and we always laughed about that. I became very close to her and her entire family, spending lots of time with them throughout our 51 year friendship. When I married and had my son Brian, Sue ended up taking care of him during the week while I worked. She became like a second mom to Brian, and we loved her so very much. Being with Sue and her entire family are times I will always cherish. I will miss Sue very much and am thankful for every minute we spent together. My heart goes out to Rich and the entire extended Tanner/Larsen Family. I love you all and may our memories of Sue live with us forever! Sheri

How sad I am to hear of Sue's passing. I had the privilege of being her "Visiting Teacher" in Colorado Springs and sharing her joy when she became a mother. She was so kind, so talented in so many ways, always positive and easy to relate to. I send my condolences to Rich and her family, as she will be missed so much. You will be in my prayers. I look forward to seeing her again in the next life and having a wonderful time catching up on all the wonders of her life on earth. With love to you, Eva Lorimer

My condolences to the Larsen and Tanner families. Rich was my youth leader when I was in high school, and Sue was always there by his side. She was tender-hearted and kind, and left a life-long impression on me about how to treat others. Thank you for being such a great role model, Sue. You just never know who's watching, and what a profound impact you might have on them. Rest in God's Grace. I'll be praying for you, Rich.

Sue was one of the first people I met in our new ward in Colorado Springs. I noticed her smiling during sacrament meeting and I had the thought that I wanted to meet her. She was the most genuine, kind, thoughtful woman! She was a mentor to me while serving in the Young Women's program in our ward. Just before we moved away, I ran Into her at the store. Her cart was full of fun stuff for little kiddos. I later found her at our doorstep with all kinds of fun stuff for our son and daughter to have as a parting gift. She had been shopping for our Evan and Sydney and I believe for Zhara and Alyssa as well. She knew how to hear the Lord and follow The promptings from Him. She knew how to love. Like truly, really love, as Christ did. She will be truly missed.

I remember calling in the middle of the night to ask is her husband Brother Larsen ( then Bishop) could come to the hospital and help give a blessing to my son. I felt so bad asking at such a later hour. She kindly said that this was our season to serve. I will always remember her with a smile and always with a positive attitude. You will be missed Sue.

We sorta adopted Rich and Sue after they were married. We always enjoyed being with them. After they tended our kids when went yo Hawaii, Sue said: "I don't think I want kids!!!!" As each of you joined the family, she was overjoyed to be a Mom. How she loved each of you. She had many church callings and loved each one. Had lots of talents that she loved and shared. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but with the gospel in our lives, we know we will see her again. I know she is In a most beautiful place and having a wonderful reunion with her Mom and granddaughter, and grandparents. Her joy and love was her family. We love you all, and may God put His loving arms around each of you and comfort you always. Vern and Neddie Pitcher

Sue was an unusually compassionate woman. She remembered birthdays with precision and consistency! Her smile - infectious. She and I shared a special friendship with Jane Greensides for years. I watched her serve Jane when she battled cancer. She went above and beyond in that service as she did with so many others. Our boys played basketball together and often invited them to the cabin for memorable meals and activities. Sue's loyalty to Rich and he to her is an example of a great and unified marriage. The McConkies love the Larsens and express our deepest saddest at Sue's too early passing.
