Obituary of MAJ Charles Anthony Carrico, U.S. Army,

Major Charles Anthony Carrico, U.S. Army, (Retired), 79, passed away September 3, 2020 in Colorado Springs. He was a longtime Monument resident.He was born August 13, 1941 in Logansport, Louisiana to Henry Leroy and Wilma Ruth (Archer) Carrico. He grew up in the Houston, Texas area around Carthage and Conroe.After twenty years of faithful service, Charles retired honorably as a Major in the United States Army Airborne Special Forces; he also served as a Search and Rescue Officer.�During his career, he served three tours in the Vietnam War and received numerous awards and accommodations.He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dusty Carrico and Bobby Burns; and grandson, Michael Carrico.�Charles is survived by his wife, Pauline Carrico; sons, Stephen and Mark (Susan) Carrico; grandchildren, Holly Carrico (Brandon Montoya), Troy Carrico, Anna Murray; sisters, Mamie Caldwell, Sondra Walls and Sandy Burns; niece, Kristen (Bob) Pfaff; and nephew, Eddie (Sheri) Burns along with a host of other nieces and nephews.A Funeral Service will be held 3:00PM, Wednesday, September 9, 2020.
