Obituary of Christina Jane Sinclair

Christina Jane Sinclair, 80, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away Saturday, September 5, at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Hospital in Denver, Colorado after a courageous battle with Mantle Cell Lymphoma. She was born February 7, 1940 to Lynn Espy and Alice Brown in Vici, Oklahoma. Chris went to high school in Seiling, Oklahoma and graduated with honors in 1958. She married the love of her life, Bob, in October of the same year. Her first and greatest priority was as a military wife and a mother to her four children. As the children became more independent, she launched a career in Interior Design. She was General Manager of the Colorado Springs Ethan Allen Gallery from 1988 until her retirement (i.e. quit working full-time in one place) in 2008. Following retirement, she remained active in her interior design business, decorating her church, and enjoying her five grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby H. Sinclair; her parents, Lynn Espy and Alice Brown; her brother, Burtis Espy; and a son, Barry Lee.Chris is survived by her sister, Sandra L. Baker of Colorado Springs; her four children and their spouses, Jeff and Heidi Sinclair, Todd Sinclair, Julie and Glenn Millhauser, all from Colorado Springs, and Matt and Jill Sinclair of Ft. Collins; her five grandchildren and their spouses, Brooke and Chris Greeley of Colorado Springs, Deanna Sinclair of Colorado Springs, Connor Sinclair of Phoenix, Mallory and Daniel Ross of Ft. Collins, and Bobby Millhauser of Colorado Springs; and two great-grandchildren, Morgan and Olivia Mae Greeley of Colorado Springs. The names listed above were her greatest pride and joy in life. She was the light of her family. It's hard to have known Chris and not realized she lived life to the fullest. Whether it was zipping around in her lime green car from one appointment to another, managing her business, decorating her church for the holidays, watching her precious Bobby play baseball, helping a family in need, ironing our sheets (yes, that's true), or preparing a special celebration for the family, Chris never "settled" for average. She gave her all to every endeavor. When it came to her family, enough was never good enough. She loved us unconditionally and sacrificially. All of us have story after story of the impact she has had on our life. We are stronger because of her example.Memorial contributions in Chris' memory may be made to the Rocky Mountain Blood Cancer Assistance Fund at rockymountainbloodfund.org The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the BMT nurses at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Hospital. You cared for us and our mom as if we were your own. We also want to thank her doctors, Dr. Richard Nash, of the Colorado Blood Cancer Institute, and Dr. Mike Monticelli, of the Rocky Mountain Cancer Center, and Rebecca Campo, the BMT Coordinator at CBCI. You gave us hope and the chance for a cure. We thank all of you for your support. There will be no memorial service. Chris' request was for a private family burial followed by a family celebration. Condolences and tributes may be shared with the family through The Springs Funeral Services website, tsfs.coMom, we will miss you but we know you are once again dancing with dad.
