Obituary of Raymond Joseph Florian Jr.

Raymond Joseph Florian (aka Avraham), Jr. passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, of a pulmonary embolism. This beloved child of God was born on August 15, 1963 in Dearborn, Michigan and grew up in Belleville, Michigan. He was a decorated rifle expert in the Marines where he served as an Honor Guard for President Reagan. In later life he was an avid hiker and enjoyed all of nature and God's creatures while hiking many of the trails and mountains of Colorado. He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond; and birth mother, Dorothy May. Raymond is survived by his stepmother, Dorothy June Florian; his son, Richard; sisters, Katherine (Mark) Ellis, PhD, Dorothy Florian-Lacy, PhD, Bridget (Peter) Petracek, Pamela, and Melissa; and foster brother, Richard Kachman. Raymond will forever be lovingly remembered for his charismatic charm, spontaneous wit and humor.
