I met Joe a few years ago when my daughter and I went dancing. We became instant friends as we both shared a passion for all different kinds of dance. Joe pushed me to get better and better. He was a phenominal dancer and so full of charisma. We met often to go out dancing. I have many pictures with he and I on the dance floor and I was always wearing a smile that only Joe could bring out of me. I truly lit up when we hit the floor. As COVID became more of a threat, we could no longer meet at our local dance spot. I remember the last time we got together was around Valentine's Day for a quick cup of coffee. Joe showed up with all kinds of Valentines goodies, sweet and charming as always. We stayed in touch regularly. A little over a month ago, I reached out and got no response. No return phone calls, no return FB messages. Deep in my heart I knew something was wrong. Two weeks ago, I went to mine and Joe's favorite dance hall and waited. I just knew he would show. But as the night went on, I began to feel uneasy. Something wasn't right. Well yesterday's I decided to run by his apartment complex to see if there was somewhere I could leave a note for Joe, asking him to let me know he was ok. When the building manager approached, she informed me that Joe had passed away. I walked to my car and sat on the curb where the tears began to flow. I am heart broken. I am sending you this message to share with you the joy that Joe brought to my life. Joy that only he could give me by being the strong lead while we danced, allowing me to close my eyes and be free. Free on the dance floor doing what we both loved. My condolences to your family. He was a beautiful soul. I hope wherever he may be that he is DANCING LIKE EVERYBODY IS WATCHING!
