I remember back in Sept. ‘01 Dan & I & our 4 kids stayed with them when we were on vacation to see Yellowstone in WY. (Bev was gone down to TX helping her Mom). Every morning Mick would put out all the breakfast items for us. We would eat & then come back that night after sight-seeing all day. On that Wednesday night we all went to the Wapiti Baptist Church. The Pastor asked Mick to introduce us. I remember him standing up & telling everybody who we were & where we were from. Then he added, "I also want everyone to know, I have officially opened up a brand new bed & breakfast!" Everybody cheered!

With snow forecast during tomorrow's funeral, it brought on an avalanche of memories of Dad and me digging our cars out of the snow in Casper or clearing the ramp in front of the Marathon hangar at the airport. What are your snowbound memories of Dad?

I am so blessed to have had Mick as a father-in-law! He was always soft spoken and caring. I remember once Mick and Beverly visited me while my husband was deployed and after they had left and been on the road for a while I had to call and have them come back. My daughter had locked herself in a room that I couldn't get her out of. Mick gladly turned around and came back to help get Lauren out of the room! He didn't have to do that, but he did it with a kind heart. I so appreciate his loyalty to his family and to God. Most of all I appreciate the time he invested in his son, my husband. What a husband, father and father-in-law!

My earliest memory of my Daddy, (and maybe it is because of pictures) is him holding me in his arms to look out the window at the airport in Findlay, Ohio, so I could watch Santa Claus fly in for Christmas! I remember when our house on Knollwood in Casper was being built and him walking me around to look at the construction. When I had the chicken pox, he brought my little rocking chair out on the driveway so I could watch him work on the car. When I was in 7th grade, I remember Daddy sitting with me night after night trying to explain algebra to me. I just did not get it. After about a month, he went to my school and said "take my daughter out of algebra!" I never did take it! There are too many memories of my sweet Daddy that I will never forget. I will miss being able to talk to him, but I know he is in heaven with my baby sister, and one day I will see him again! I know he loves me, and I love him so very much. My 11 year old grandson told me, "Don't be sad he's gone, be glad he lived." And I am so glad he was my Daddy.

I remember the very first time I met Mr. Jackson. I was a very new employee at Marathon Oil and he flew me and several much older executives to a meeting in Denver. I was very junior - your father treated me with the same respect as he did the others. He knew I was a first timer in the Marathon aircraft - about mid flight he motioned me up to the galley area, behind the cockpit, to look over their shoulders (two pilots - a jet) and showed me the instrumentation panel and controls etc. Through my career I have been very fortunate to have flown on many corporate aircraft - but that was a very special flight because of him. RIP, Mr. Jackson. Doug Brooks

Mick was dad to me and he was genuinely the best dad a girl could ever ask for. He was a godly, caring, loving, gentle man who deeply loved his Lord, his wife, and his children. He was an incredible example of humility and selflessness always thinking of others before himself. His passing has left a huge void in our family but, we find great peace and comfort knowing he is in the presence of God and enjoying time with Joanna and other family and friends who have gone on before him. I love you dad!!

Mick was the father of my good childhood friend, Joanna. The Jacksons were extended family and good friends during our time in Casper. I can picture him in the room: his smile, his laugh, how TALL he was to me, and his calm temperament.
