We may have bought several boxes of old photography developing equipment from Mr Card years ago. In one box we found 4 boxes of family photographs and mementos ( newspaper clippings, etc). If any of the surviving family would like to have them they can contact me at kmeinig@comcast.net . Thank you.

I am so sorry to hear of "Mr. Card's" passing. We had exchanged both letters and phone calls before 2020, and it was a true pleasure to reconnect with him. Bob was my radio station's faculty sponsor at Palmer HS during my 3 years there from 1962 to 1965. He taught ALL of us so many things while we operated KSHS-FM and we had fun learning his life lessons. He was my electronics teacher my senior year and had the distinction of awarding me the only "A" I received while in high school. He had a gentle, yet firm, way of teaching us so many lessons and made adults from raw teenage kids. In my case, he was instrumental in recommending me for a job as a camera operator at KRDO-TV in 1965. His teaching was also a key motivator in my choice of my US Navy rating when I enlisted in September 1965, where I attended "A" school to become a Tradevman (Training Devices Man [Simulator Technician]) Second Class. Once back in civilian life, those life lessons I learned under his guidance continue to pay dividends today, where I often work as a union audio or lighting technician as an IATSE stagehand. People often tell stories how one teacher had a major effect on a kid's life. "Mr. Card" was that teacher, for me, and I will be eternally grateful our paths crossed at the right stage of our lives. May he rest in peace and may all of his family know what a great guy he was. 73's, Bob.
