I am sad in my heart to hear of the passing of my friend Chip. What a true blessing he has been to me. His entire family gave me support and love for many years. God shared this amazing man with so many people and gave us joy beyond all expectations. Thank you God. Thank you Chip. I'll see you when I get there! Bettye Bambarger

I was the counselor at Vance Elementary for several years while Chip was the only other male faculty member and taught fourth grade. It was great to have someone else who looked at things the way I did. We often took "smoke breaks" in the privacy of the furnace room and did some good male bonding. Chip was always a good listener and easy to talk to! I will never forget these times but most of all my friend Chip.

I was a principal at Vance Elementary and Chip was one of the few "male" teachers at the school. Although he wasn't always excited in the dances we taught to the children he would watch with a smile as the students danced. Very calm guy who could work with us intense people and still stay calm. The students loved him and looked up to him particularly those students without a father at home. His wife and two children were the most important people in his life and he was an example for me as to what should be the most important thing in a man's life, God first then family. I know he will be missed. He changed an improved the lives of many students and I was honored to work with him.
