I did not personally know Mr Rothkopf but had the opportunity to hear about him through his wonderful daughter. I am glad I did as he sounded like someone I really would like to meet. My father also passed this year, I like imagining that they are hanging out in heaven, talking together about how amazing their daughters are.

It's been a week since my dear older brother Joe passed away. I can't believe that I'll never see him or hear his voice again. It's hard to describe the sadness I am feeling. I have so, so many wonderful memories of growing up with Joseph and I want to only think of those now. I miss you.

My dearest father, words will never be able to describe the love I have for you. You did so many things for me and my children. I remember when I was around 13 years old, I thought I would be cool and dye my hear strawberry blonde with a box of dye, after I did, I cried because the color was bright orange and I was devastated. You immediately took me to the hair salon to get it taken out, I loved you from that day forward. We were poor and the clothes we owned would reflect that, and school was hard for me as kids can be so cruel, you ensured that I wouldn't have to worry anymore and you took me shopping at Mesa Mall and let me get a whole new wardrobe. Prom my first ever, you had just bought a brand new xterra, in Longmont, you let me and my friends take it, I thought I was so cool! Fast forward to when I found out I was going to be a mom, you were so excited, you ensured that I would have everything I needed from a bottle sterilizer to diapers. Not knowing what to expect with my first child, once she was delivered I was starving, you made it your mission to find me Pizza, and you bought me my very own large spinach and cheese from Papa Johns, best pizza I ever had! It took me until my late 20's to realize what a gift from God you really were, and I want you to know I cherished every second of every minute I had with you. I couldn't have asked for a better father to step into my life, and my children could not have had a better grandfather, you taught them respect, love and selflessness. Your love was unconditional regardless of the circumstance, regardless if someone messed up, you still showed kindness. I'm so sad my son will never know you in person but you can be sure your memory will live, I will always and forever keep your memory alive. I miss you so very much ❤ I bet it's just absolutely beautiful in heaven and I look forward to the day I get to see you again, dad. I love you, always and forever ❤

Joe, The Lord had you come into our life to make a difference and you did.You always told us everything would be ok and to keep moving. I remember all the trips we took and I loved them all because I was with you. We enjoyed every minute. You are the most kind person I have ever met. You made as always feel safe no matter the issue. I will miss our conversations on every topic. I will miss your great dinners with family. I will cherish our memories forever.
