Tom was an angel to my family, he was the striving force that brought us to where we are today. He believed in my step dad (Troy Kelley) and helped him start his career as a real estate maintenance business owner, which was my first job, and job for 16 years. Tom was also the man who helped my family find shelter in Colorado, he helped us find houses and even showed my family the house they ended up buying and reside today. Tom was a wonderful human being and I will miss coming home to the springs and surprising him on the holidays with my presence. Rest In Peace Tom! You have always been an angel, and I know you have a wonderful spot in heaven!

Loved the incredibly touching video of an amazing person Tom Ortman. He was a loving, dedicated husband and father and worker. He was admired by so many for his work ethic. His choice in life was to look for the good in everyone. Charlie and I will miss him terribly. Charlie and Tom were 13 months apart and were very close all of their lives. I loved my brother-in-law. He was a true gentleman. God bless Tom's beautiful family. They are simply the best. Jeanne Ortman

Tom in the early years would drive down to Lincoln and buy tickets for the Nebraska Cornhusker football games. He knew someone in Lincoln and would always have a ticket. What a lucky man. He so enjoyed his beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers. He settled in Colorado and liked the state, but he never forgot his Nebraska roots.

Tom was a wonderful man. We saw him this past summer and updated us on all of you. I guarantee he loved you Maggie , James, Katy, and Mary, "one hundred percent." Tom was one of the kindest and sincere people we have known. All of you are in our prayers.
