Obituary of Mary Beth Griffioen

Mary Beth Griffioen, 79, died December 25, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born May 31, 1941 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Andrew and Winifred (Fennema) Kuiphof.Mary was a phlebotomist and a cytology technician in the medical field. She served as a missionary with the Navigators in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Mary also had a heart for the women of Afghanistan.She was preceded in death by her husband, Arie Jay Griffioen; a son, James Andrew; and her parents, Andrew and Winifred Kuiphof.Mary is survived by her sons, Michael (Wendy) Griffioen, John (Janice) Griffioen, James (Mindee) Griffioen; daughter, Julie (William) Arbuckle; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.Mary enjoyed sewing, gardening, hiking and camping, biking, serving others, reading Scripture, and spending time daily with her Savior.Visitation, 12:00PM-1:00PM, Funeral Service immediately following, 1:00PM, Monday, January 4, 2021, Church For All Nations, 6540 Templeton Gap Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80923.Interment, Central Cemetery, 7719 South Westnedge Avenue, Portage, Michigan 49002.Memorial contributions in Mary's memory may be made to Morning Star Development (msdev.org) a nonprofit organization that works in Afghanistan.
