I worked with Mary Beth at the Marian House Soup kitchen and was always delighted when I could stand with her chopping fruits and vegetables gleaning wisdom as our hands worked in unison serving the poor and underprivileged. Marybet was a very special friend. One of the things I enjoyed the most was when I would get a call from her in the early morning after she had been in the Word and praying. Excitedly she would share some thing that the Lord had revealed to her and we both enjoy the Lord and his faithfulness together. She will be missed.

Mary was my neighbor for many years and I got to know her as a master seamstress. Her skill, talent and attention to detail was unsurpassed and I appreciated the fact that the items I gave to her for repair/altering would always come back to me perfectly crafted. I will certainly miss her and knowing that I could just walk a few feet to her house for fantastic service, fun talks and neighborly interactions was wonderful. Robert Hill and Family My family was upset to hear from Mike on Christmas of the passing of Mary. I have been friends with Mike since we were in junior high school and through him got to meet and know Mary. I know that at times as teenage boys growing up in Michigan we tried her patience greatly but she always tried to do her best to guide us in the correct direction in life. For this guidance and caring I will always have a found place in my heart for Mary Beth. I hope the entire family knows we are all thinking of you in this time of grief.

It was an honor to know Mary. She was a woman of virtue. As I scrolled though the pictures, I was impacted at how hard it must have been to loose your husband and then be faced with raising 4 children (especially 3 teenage boys!!) alone. That must have not been any easy road a lot of days! She obviously was a woman of PRAYER, patience, humbleness & grace. Thank you Mary, for leaving us with such a legacy to follow! May you hear... Everything was a wonderful adventure with Mary. The simplest things in life did not get passed her. A beautiful moon or sunset, the wildlife in our backyard, new blooms on her plants, and just watching the flag on the hill behind us in the early morning. All these simple things just delighted her. She was also such a servant. If you needed someone to volunteer for something, Mary was first to offer her assistance. As shown in the picture below, we were at the hot air balloon show, when I turned around and Mary is holding up a balloon as it's filling because the owner was worried the sharp corner of the trailer might tear it. He was trying to watch it and watch the inflate and couldn't manage both, so Mary volunteered to hold it up and I stepped in to help her as it was all she could do to keep it away from the trailer. She was a wonderful friend and roommate. I am forever grateful that the Lord crossed our paths.

I'm going to miss you, Aunt Mary! I have great memories of staying with you when I made my solo trips to Colorado... you showing me around Glen Eyrie, hiking through Garden of the Gods, our chats about faith and life, in general, etc. I am so happy you're with Uncle Arie again, Grandma & Grandpa, Aunt MaeLynn & Uncle George, and everyone else who had gone before you.
