Obituary of Deborah Vigil

Deborah Vigil, 67, a native of Colorado, passed away on December 30, 2020 with her family by her side.She lived her life in deep devotion unto God and loving her family. Deborah is survived by her daughter, Erica Erminia Coles of Colorado Springs, Colorado, along with son-in-law, Lavon Coles, Jr.; granddaughter, Kiaira Nicole Coles; and grandson, Tyrese Michael Coles. She is the daughter of the late Audenago and Erminia Vigil, sister to seven of eighteen surviving brothers and sisters (nineteen in all), godmother to Lydia Vigil and Desiree Lucero, and Auntie Debbie to many. Deborah was a mighty woman of God, loving Him with all her heart, soul, and mind. Always obedient to the words of Jesus Christ, she loved others with true compassion. She would spend much of her day praying for family, friends, and many she did not know but was asked by family and friends to pray for. Deborah loved watching old classic black and white movies and TV shows such as Andy Griffith and Father Knows Best. She was wonderful cook, an avid reader, and recently took up drawing. Deborah had a servant's heart. Anyone that knew her, knew she always sought the well-being of others above herself. She was a devoted mother (to her pumpkin-girl or babygirl as she would call Erica), mother-in-law (to her #1 son as she would call Lavon), grandmother (to Kiki and Ty, her affectionate names for them), sister, and friend. She loved hard and with the greatest of hearts. There are many fond memories we all share of mom, grandma, sister, auntie, friend. Her laugh will forever echo in the walls of our hearts. Her counsel, always rooted in Godly wisdom, would help all who asked her for guidance to walk out difficult circumstances. She was ever the encourager but never forsaking truth spoken in love. For anyone who knew Deborah, rest assured she prayed for you frequently, petitioning our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the sanctuary of Heaven. We hold the fondest of memories of Deborah and she will be dearly missed.Visitation, 12:00PM-1:00PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00PM, Thursday, January 14, 2021, Berthoud Family Church, 3982 Nations Way, Berthoud, Colorado 80513. Due to COVID restrictions, social distancing and face masks are required. Additionally there will be no reception following the Service.The Service will be streamed live.
