It was my absolute pleasure to serve with Blaine - a fellow retired Air Force Colonel - at USNORTHCOM sitting side by side. I remember well his passion and his sense of humor, and I will miss them both.

Blaine was my oldest and dearest friend. We met as seniors at Leavenworth High School in 1968 and became fast friends. I brought him home and he snaked my sister! I am so glad he did. That sister's name was Marcea and they were married for nearly 50 years and produced the coolest nieces and nephews eve! We have been friends ever since. He was an awesome guy and he will be missed. I loved him like the brother I never had.

Aim High Buddy! Our calm, confident friend now soars elsewhere, smiling in quiet zest. Blaine was a strong leader with deep convictions. The future was there to grasp a lasting legacy and pull you up with him. A great roommate, pilot, family man, rifleman, Army-fan, historian, and sage. We will wander The Wilderness without you, then regroup to Aim High.

Blaine was a great member of the great Class of 1974 at West Point and a good friend to all his Company D-1 "Ducks" there! He fought a good fight and I suspect he's happy to be "flying" again! - Col. John R. Martin, on behalf of the D-1 Ducks

Blaine was very special to all who knew him. He was fiercely patriotic and passionate about his precious Marcea. And yet, he was gentle in spirit. It was honor to know him as a fellow D1 "Duck" in the Class of 1974. Thanks for your faith, Blaine. You are flying with your Savior, Jesus.
