Obituary of Garrett Thomas Marchetti

The loss of our son, brother, and friend Garrett is felt deeply by all of the lives that he touched. From his earliest moments, Garrett always displayed a gentle spirit and concern for all living things. He cared for everyone he met, no matter how they treated him or what they believed. This was always in his nature, no one had to show him. Garrett had his own unique sense of humor and he loved to make people laugh in his own way. As he grew into a man these qualities only grew stronger.Garrett's strong faith was his foundation, it led him through the loss of his mother and supported him through all of his accomplishments. His mind and heart were always oriented toward God. He has always been a devout Catholic, but in recent years he had really grown to have a deep understanding of his faith. After truly discovering his faith all he wanted to do was spread the word with everyone around him, so that they could be as happy and fulfilled as he was.Garrett knew that he wanted to help people in any way that he could. His main expression of this was fighting to end abortion. Garrett had put in thousands of hours researching and volunteering to help young mothers considering abortion. He was pursuing a degree in Bioethics to help his mission in advocating for the unborn.Garrett was a resilient and dedicated son, who never gave his parents any stress as a young child and young man. Whatever he set his mind on to accomplish he did, no matter the odds. He grew deep in his faith, was an accomplished musician, mentor to many (including his father) and fearless competitor. He was passionate about life, all life.We called him "Garrett The Lion-Hearted". If we truly believe in Garrett we will live our lives as he did- faithful, truthful, honest, and humble.Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00AM, Monday, February 1, 2021, St. Peter Catholic Church, 55 Jefferson Street, Monument, Colorado 80132.Interment, Monument Cemetery, 800 Beacon Lite Road, Monument, Colorado 80132.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Garrett's memory may be made to Life Network: https://www.elifenetwork.com/donate/ Events Rosary Monday, February 1, 2021 10:30AM St. Peter Catholic Church 55 Jefferson Street Moument, CO 80132 Phone: 719-481-3511 Mass of Christian Burial Monday, February 1, 2021 11:00AM St. Peter Catholic Church 55 Jefferson Street Moument, CO 80132 Phone: 719-481-3511 Final Resting Place Monument Cemetery 800 Beacon Lite Road Monument, CO 80132
