Obituary of Joseph Lee Russ

Joseph, lovingly referred to as Bear, was born December 2, 1964 in Cleveland, Ohio to Amil Joseph and Carnella Jane (Toothman) Russ. Joseph passed in the comforting love of his wife and three daughters.He proudly and honorably served in the United States Army. Most recently Joe worked as an Operations Manager for Numotion. He had a strong dedication towards his work team, as well as the clients in need of assistance and fought many battles to do what was right for them all. Joseph had an outstanding work ethic, which has been inherited by his children.Bear cherished his family beyond explanation. His devotion to his family was unlimited. Every available moment was spent with his family, for example, fishing with his wife at every opportunity possible, family suppers, new adventures, and game nights were always a priority.His strength and passion were palpable. Joseph had a large attachment for Ohio State football and enjoyed making homemade pasta. His sarcastic sense of humor will be missed by all. He was the rock that held our family together and certainly made the world a better place.Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Amil and Jane Russ.He is survived by his wife of twenty-two years, Stephanie Faye (Brooks) Russ; and daughters, D'Mitri Russ (age 22), Cheyenne Russ (age 21), and Ashley Russ (age 20).Rest well my sweet love until our chain is whole once again. Visitation, 11:00AM-12:00PM, Thursday, March 11, 2021 followed immediately by a funeral service, The Springs Funeral Services - North, 6575 Oakwood Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80923.
